A proud Miami native, Melissa L. Corrales, Esq. brings a deep understanding of South Florida’s legal landscape to her work at Wolfson & Leon. Raised and educated in Miami, she earned her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law, where she was awarded a Merit-Based Dean’s Scholarship and received the Excellence in Civic Engagement Award for her leadership and service.
During law school, Ms. Corrales served as Secretary of both the Intellectual Property Student Association and the Cuban American Bar Association, and she competed as a member of the Negotiation and Mediation Team-refining the advocacy and strategic skills she now uses to represent injury victims throughout Miami-Dade County.
Before joining Wolfson & Leon, Ms. Corrales developed substantial experience in insurance litigation, focusing on first-party property insurance disputes and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims. Having worked closely with insurance carriers, she understands how insurers evaluate, defend, and sometimes dispute claims. That insider perspective is invaluable when advocating for injured clients in Miami.
Ms. Corrales earned her Bachelor of Arts in English, cum laude, from Florida International University, where she was a Florida Bright Futures Scholar and a consistent Dean’s List honoree. She also earned her Associate of Arts in English, cum laude, from Miami Dade College as a recipient of the Merit-Based American Dream Scholarship.
