Negligent security is basically an area of the law where a person might be able to recover if they were hurt on somebody else’s property because of criminal activity. Now that means if you were robbed on somebody else’s property, if you were hurt, if you were shot, or even if a loved one may have been killed on somebody else’s property, you may be able to recover for those damages. Now there are certain circumstances where you can recover and it always involves being able to show that that landowner knew or should have known of potential criminal activity, and that they didn’t live up to their responsibility.
